If you love steak & thought you had already enjoyed the best grill of your life, or that a simple fillet was the finest cut money can buy then we may have some surprisingly good news for you as four Miller & Carter restaurants are now serving the king of steaks - Chateaubriand.
Chateaubriand is considered the tenderest of steaks and is a special centre cut from the beef tenderloin. This is such a special steak that it's...
First prepared for the author, diplomat and nobleman, Vicomte de Chateaubriand in the early 1820's this steak has achieved near mythical status. The Miller & Carter Chateaubriand comes from our West Country farms and is hand cut to our exacting specification by our master butcher - aged for 7 days on the bone, this steak is then dry aged and matures for a further 21 days to give it a fuller flavour. These really are very difficult steaks to get hold of so we'll only be serving the ones we can get each weekend. So, be warned, you will probably have to dine early to enjoy this fantastic experience.
The Miller & Carter Chateaubriand is a steak for two and is served with our famous onion loaf, parsley butter, seasoned fries, iceberg wedge and 2 sauces of your choice.
Finally, we believe that a great steak deserves a great wine and Chateaubriand is superbly complemented with our Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon a full bodied and robust red that's crammed with luscious fresh blackcurrant fruit.
